Welcome!
It was lovely to meet the parents of our new January intake children this evening. We look forward to visiting you all at home and then to welcoming you into nursery after Christmas. #newchildren

...and now with the fire bell, part II!
This afternoon, we did another proper fire drill with the fire bell going off , and without the children knowing it was going to happen. We evacuated the building and were all accounted for in just over 2 minutes. These children were as calm and sensible as the morning and beginning of the week children and did exactly what we had shown to do. We were especially impressed as it has been a few weeks since we first practiced and they still remembered! We are very proud of them

Our Spotty Day!
Thank you to everyone who helped us to celebrate Children in Need by donating money and dressing the children in Spotty Clothes - they all looked fabulous, and they all enjoyed making and eating a Pudsey biscuit too! Take a look at the photos on display in Nursery tomorrow! #ChildreninNeed

Remembrance Day
The Fire Fighters kindly invited us to bring a small group of children to share their 2 minute silence for Remembrance Day. As you can see, the children stood really well and were a credit to us all. In Nursery the rest of the staff and children marked the 2 minute silence whilst watching the Cbeebies Poppy short animated film. It is very appropriate for the age of our children and they were very engrossed in it. If you haven't had a chance to watch it yet, it will be availab

Bonfire Night
We have been talking to the children about Bonfire Night and especially about staying safe around bonfires, fireworks, sparklers and matches. If you are having your own celebrations or going to an organised event, we wish you all a safe and happy Bonfire Night. #Bonfire

Fire Drill
Well, today was the turn of the afternoon children, and the children who attend at the end of the week to have a Fire Drill practice, and we were as impressed with how they responded as we were with the morning children and those who attend at the start of the week. Well done to everyone, especially one child who managed to overcome his worries about it, and coped really well. It is very reassuring to know that, if the fire alarm was to go off, the children would be able to d
